Hoch über dem Stausee Lake Mead verläuft nördlich die sog. Northshore Road. Sie führt durch ein Gebiet, das von verschiedenen geologischen Vorgängen geprägt ist – z. B. Verwerfungen, Ablagerung von Sedimenten, Verwitterung – alles was in den letzten ca. 200 Millionen so geschah.

High above the Leake Mead reservoir, the so-called Northshore Road runs to the north. It leads through an area that is characterized by various geological processes – e.g. faults, deposition of sediments, weathering – everything that has happened in the last 200 million years or so.
