Morgenkonzert in der Kipukapuaulu

Heute auch wieder früh aufgestanden und um 7:30 Uhr war ich schon am Startpunkt für eine Wanderung durch eine Kipuka (ein erhöhter Bereich, der nicht von Lava bedeckt wurde). Hier wachsen viele einheimische Pflanzen, aber auch viele invasive, die aber soweit möglich entfernt werden, um den natürlichen Zustand wieder herzustellen. Ich bin alleine unterwegs und so kann ich dem grandiosen Vogelkonzert, das mich auf der ganzen Runde von 2 km Länge begleitet. Hier einige Eindrücke davon.

Morning Concert in the Kipukapuaulu

I got up early again today and at 7:30 I was already at the starting point for a hike through a kipuka (an elevated area that has not been covered by lava). Many native plants grow here, but also many invasive ones, which are removed as far as possible to restore the natural state. I am walking alone and so I can enjoy the magnificent bird concert that accompanies me on the entire 1.2 km loop. Here are a few impressions.
