Es ist schon seit einigen Tagen kälter geworden, meist begleitet von sehr starkem Wind. Aber jetzt kommt noch Niederschlag dazu. Auf meinem Weg Richtung Norden geht ein heftiger Schneeschauer nieder. An meinem Ziel, Bryce Canyon National Park, kommt sogar die Sonne ein wenig durch – noch. Als ich das Visitor Center verlasse, schneit es was vom Himmel kann. Also auf zum Sunset Point und im Auto den Schneeschauer abgewartet. Als es nachlässt, warm eingepackt, denn die Temperatur liegt knapp unter Null, und dann den Blick ins Amphitheater genossen. Schnell verziehen sich die Wolken, die Sonne kommt etwas raus und nach knapp einer Stunde ist das meiste der weißen Pracht verschwunden.

And suddenly it is winter again!

It had been getting colder since a few days always combined with strong winds. On my way further north on US 89 a heavy snow shower occurred. But at my destination, Bryce Canyon National Park, there’s a little sun – still. But when I left the visitor center there is heavy snow fall. Ok let’s go, or better drive, to Sunset Point and waiting in the car. When the snow fall lessened, I put on my warm coat – the temperature is about 30°F – to enjoy the view of the amphitheater. The clouds soon were gone, the sun came out a little bit – and after about an hour much of the snow was gone.
