Warum fragt Ihr Euch vielleicht? Weil es über eine sandige Piste mit vielen, teileweise tiefen Schlaglöchern und Querrillen geht. 3 € kostet es, aber dafür gibt es am Ende einen großen Parkplatz und bei Abstechern zu Stränden kleinere. Anfang Mai war das Bistro bei der Hauptattraktion, dem Playa del Papagayo, leider geschlossen. Aber die sieben Strände, die in separaten Buchten liegen und nur mit dem Boot oder durch einen Abstieg zum Strand erreichbar sind, sind absolut sehenswert, ebenso der Blick hinüber nach Fuerteventura und zur kleinen Insel Los Lobos.

Why, you might ask? Because the route takes you along a sandy dirt road with many potholes—some of them quite deep—and ruts. It costs €3, but at the end there’s a large parking lot, and smaller ones for side trips to the beaches. In early May, the bistro at the main attraction, Playa del Papagayo, was unfortunately closed. But the seven beaches, which are located in separate coves and can only be reached by boat or by hiking down to the beach, are definitely worth seeing, as is the view across to Fuerteventura and the small island of Los Lobos.
